​Nature's Pathway of Fire +Winery Excursion - Helicopter Tour

Fly north via the famous Huka Falls, following the Waikato River to the Wai-O-Tapu & Waimangu geothermal regions, fly over and around the rim of the dormant and spectacular volcano Mt. Tarawera, site of the largest eruption in recent history. Travel on to Whakatane where you will land and be briefed by the team from Frontier Helicopters, the White Island tour specialists. They will provide you with safety equipment prior to flying you on the next leg of your guided tour of the living, breathing geological giant –Whakaari (White Island).

On your return from White Island travel to the famous Hawke’s Bay region, land at two wineries, take the opportunity to taste superior New Zealand wines and learn a little about the history of the local viticulture industry. Lunch can be booked at either one of these famous vineyard restaurants or we can take a picnic and land on a remote beach.

Fly west via the beautiful Kaimanawa Forest Park & Mohaka River, search for the famous Kaimanawa wild horses and you may even spot wild deer. Land next to the world famous Rangitikei River and enjoy the wilderness. Return to the Lodge via the volcanic activity areas and craters of the spectacular World Heritage Tongariro National Park and the pristine waters of the great Lake Taupo.
