Premium Wineries Tour
Picture
Elephant Hill

premium wine tasting tour will firstly stop at Elephant Hill Winery, located just beyond the beach at Te Awanga. The European owners of this winery have spared no expense to created a world class winery. All their wines are made from 100% hand- picked grapes grown on their sustainably run vineyards.Elephant hill has been able to purchase a large block of land in the internationally recognized Gimblett Gravels area where they grow premium red grapes .The Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Malbec from this area are outstanding.

A large selection of both red and white wines are available for tasting. The tasting area provides breath taking views over the vines, the Pacific Ocean and the iconic form of Cape Kidnappers. I can arrange a private tour of some of the wine making facility if given prior notice.

From Elehant Hill the tour travels around the rurally scenic Tuki Tuki river loop until we arrive at Craggy Range winery, a journey of about 20 minutes
.

Craggy Range

Craggy Range winery is a world class establishment and their goal is to make some of the best wines in the Southern Hemisphere. The Peabody family that own the estate have created an estate that is quality driven with no desire to produce big quantities of wine.

The location below Te Mata Peak is breath taking and their tasting room is elegant and sophisticated. I can arrange a tour of some aspects of the wine making facility if given prior notice.
