Zealong Tea Plantation

An exclusive, personalised and interactive 2-hour experience for tea enthusiasts. Starting at the Zealong Vista tea centre, take the tea walk to discover tea’s rich history and culture and learn how tea came to New Zealand. Unique to this tour is the opportunity to get up close with our exhibition tea bushes.

Then continue to the Pavilion for the ultimate tea experience. Visitors will get to see an exclusive tour-only cinematic on the story of Zealong and insights into the innovative production of tea in New Zealand. A private performance on the art of tea through a traditional ceremony will showcase fine tea appreciation including how to brew the perfect cup.

All five of Zealong’s unique teas can be enjoyed in this experience, with a focus on identifying flavours and qualities through whole leaf styles, colour, aromas, and taste.
